With all the prestigious chefs in Las Vegas, you'd think there would be several James Beard Award winners this year. But in 2024, there was only one in the America's Classic category in Vegas - The Peppermill Restaurant and Fireside Lounge.

What is the America's Classics category?

According to the James Beard Award guidelines, it must be in business for at least 10 years and be "a locally and independently owned restaurant with timeless appeal, beloved in its region for food that reflects the character and cultural traditions of its community."

And the Peppermill fits that description to a tee!

Middle Child is a new upscale brunch restaurant from the same folks who brought you Cleaver and Herbs & Rye, opening in June (or at least that was the target date).

Their Instagram account showcased a couple menu items so far, and our mouths are watering…can’t wait:
