Tropicana Implosion in a Few Days: Will You Be Watching?

We’re coming down to the final preparations for the Tropicana implosion at 2:30 am on October 9. We’ve got all the details and where you can watch this historic event.

The pre-show will be worth watching, featuring 140 pyrodrones and fireworks to kick off the event, so be ready by 2 am.

If you want to see it in person, there is still one option at the Oyo Hotel. And, if you’re thinking about a pedestrian bridge or parking garage, that won’t work out because of the exclusion zone. We discuss here.

Weird Al is Bigger & Weirder

Weird Al Yankovic is hitting the road again in 2025 with his Bigger & Weirder Tour kicking off the show at the Venetian in June.

Did you know that he’s sold more comedy albums than anyone else. Ever? And, he’s won 5 Grammy Awards.

Here's what you can look forward to:

  • A multimedia show with music, comedy, and probably some crazy costumes

  • Weird Al's greatest hits and some rare songs he's never performed live

  • A super-sized band to make the music even more awesome

Neon City Festival Adds 60-Foot Art Car & 23 New Acts

The Neon City Festival, Downtown Vegas’ free alternative to Formula1, made some new announcements as we get closer to the November 22 date.

Their full lineup has been released, and 23 new acts are performing.

They have even filed for permits to bring in the 60-foot long ‘Art Car’, which debuted at Burning Man. Check it out here 👉.

New XRocks Show Debuts at Horseshoe

Rock ‘n roll and Burlesque combine in this new show, X ROCKS, at the Horseshoe. The same husband and wife team that brought you X Burlesque has created a new show for those with an edgier style.

The show is live Wednesdays to Saturdays at 9:30pm, and you must be 18 and up.

Hawaiian Style Poke Comes to the Uncommons

Chef Michael is going back to his Hawaiian roots, with a new Poke Market at the Uncommons. The chef has an impressive professional history, having worked at notable restaurants such as L’Atelier de Joël Robuchon in the MGM Grand, Restaurant Guy Savoy at Caesars Palace, and Aqua Seafood & Caviar Restaurant in Resorts World, where he currently holds the position of chef de cuisine.

Here’s a sampling of the menu:

  • Hawaiian Sodas/snacks

Gay Bar and Drag Brunch Spot Closes

The Garden is yet another gay bar to close permanently, following 6 similar gay bar closures in the last year. The Garden was known for its drag brunch on weekends, dance parties, and was voted the best LGBTQ bar in 2022.

They had a farewell party on September 21.
